Inside this house you can view a very nice replica of the first ever Astrid Lindgren Children’s Village built in Bangui in the Central African Republic as a result of funds raised through a collection during the 2007 centenary celebrations of Astrid Lindgren’s birth. There is also a presentation here of our next project – SOS Bullerbyn – a second children’s village in Bambari, also in CAR. Astrid Lindgren’s World will contribute a minimum of SEK 4 million to this project during a 3-year period.
